The Town of Pilot Butte Council Votes in Favor of Central Water

At the regular meeting of Council held on Thursday February 4, 2010, the following motion was passed:

That the Canada-Saskatchewan Provincial-Territorial Base Funding contribution agreement, outlining two-thirds (2/3) funding of $18,665,000 to a maximum of $12,443,333 to construct within Pilot Butte town limits a raw water pipeline; water treatment plant; distribution system; sewage disposal facility including sewage pumping station; gravity trunk main; sewage force main; booster pumping station, and generator set for emergency standby power and associated costs, along with a project completion date of March 31st, 2013 be accepted.

A recorded vote was requested and the following members of Council voted in favour:

  • Mayor Saum
  • Councillor Bowles
  • Councillor Leir
  • Councillor Ross
  • Councillor Kistner
  • Councillor Kovacs

Note: Councillor Ernst was absent from the meeting.
