Would you like to address Council but are unsure of the procedure? The following guidelines are provided to help you:
Contact the Town Office, either by telephone, fax or e-mail, indicating the topic you wish to discuss with Council. Once you have made your request to attend as a delegation, you will be advised of the date and time of your appointment at a Council meeting.
Any documents you have that will aid Council in making informed decisions would be appreciated. These should be left at the Town Office the week prior to your meeting with Council so that copies can be made for the agenda packages.
At the meeting you attend, Council members will listen to your presentation and ask any questions of you to help them clearly understand. A decision will not be made at that meeting but will be added to the next agenda. This is to give administration sufficient time to research, if necessary.
