Pilot Butte Library not only has books and periodicals, we have computers available for web access, research or word processing and printing. Printing Costs are .20 grayscale and .40 for colour.
Point your browser to www.southeast.lib.sk.ca to access more than 7,000 full text magazines and newspapers online. These include health, consumer, student helps, children’s information and more.
The Southeast Regional Library system has entered into a province-wide library system. To obtain a library card, you will need to present 2 pieces of ID, one of which must show your current Saskatchewan address. A child under the age of 14 wishing to obtain a card must be accompanied by a parent/guardian when registering. Parent/guardian must sign for child and also provide their own ID.
Patron Responsibilities
- Keep track of the due dates and return/renew materials on time.
- Have and present your own library card to borrow materials.
- Keep your contact information up to date.
- Pick up requested material in a timely manner.
- Report lost or stolen library cards.
Loan Limits
100 items total per patron including: books up to the 100 limit, DVD and Videos 20, audio books 30, new release/popular items 5.
Loan Periods
Books 21 days. Spoken word and talking books 21 days. DVDs and videos 7 days. Magazines 7 days. New release/popular items 14 days.
Renewals will be permitted twice on any item except if it is on hold, and no renewals on magazines. Patrons can renew any material belonging to any location at any location.
Late charges will be applied for a maximum of 31 days, at which time lost charges will be billed.
Replacement costs for lost/damaged items will be based on the value of the item and will include a non-refundable processing fee of $5.00.
Patrons will be notified about overdue items by an automated message system, either e-mail, if submitted, phone or mail. 1st notice after the due date. 2nd notice 17 days after due date. Billing notice 31 days after due date (by mail only).
Borrowing privileges are suspended when a patron has $10.00 or more in charges against his/her card. The charges may result from late or overdue fees, lost or damaged items and processing fees. Privileges may be restored when charges are paid.
Library cards are free. If you lose your card a replacement will cost $3.00.

Preschool Story Time
Parents, caregivers and preschool children are invited to attend our storytime on Wednesday mornings at 10:00. Stories and craft are free of charge.
TICK TOCK TIME
Parents and pre-school children are invited to attend TICK TOCK TIME Thursday afternoons at 2 pm. An interactive program for parents and preschool children, songs, rhymes and stories, all free of charge.
Summer Reading Program
During the summer children in Kindergarten to Grade 8 are invited to register for the Summer Reading Program. Register, read library books and enter to win a prize. The more you read the more chances you have to win!
